EasyLanguage Friendly
What is EasyLanguage?
EasyLanguage is a programming language that is widely considered the standard in the trading industry. It was developed by
TradeStation Securities, and it’s very popular because it’s easy to learn without specialized training. At the same time, EasyLanguage is very powerful for trading purposes because it contains most commands that traders would need and allows using external DLL files written in other languages.
EasyLanguage has been in development for more than 20 years, which means it has one of the biggest collections of trading ideas in the world. EasyLanguage indicators and strategies are widely available across the Internet and in major trading publications. All MCFX Pro users have an advantage over people using other platforms, since you can directly import EasyLanguage files and use them within minutes. On the other hand, other platforms may require you to translate the code before you can use it.
We went down the harder road of ensuring compatibility with a language that someone else built, as opposed to building our own. MCFX Pro lets you use the large existing knowledgebase of EasyLanguage strategies, which has been continually added to for the past 20 years. We felt that users would want to benefit from the existing knowledge in the industry, and not worry about learning another language just to use MCFX.
EasyLanguage Compatibility
Compatibility with another language is hard to accomplish because it tends to change. It’s important to note that complete compatibility is not possible because languages evolve and change over time. This is precisely why we don’t state that MCFX Pro is 100% compatible with TradeStation’s EasyLanguage code. MCFX Pro is EasyLanguage Friendly, which means that we have attained the highest compatibility possible.
EasyLanguage compatibility in MCFX is better than any other Forex trading software that we are aware of on the market today. Our team conducted precise automatic testing on more than 2,000 EasyLanguage indicators and strategies, and we scanned for any possible issues. Up to 99% of your EasyLanguage strategies and indicators will work without any changes, and your existing studies will get compiled. The code will even produce the same results that you see in TradeStation.
We had to analyze EasyLanguage syntax, simulate script execution, and test hundreds of unique scenarios. Even TradeStation itself does not provide full compatibility with its own code. EasyLanguage experts are well aware that identical code can produce varying results in different version of TradeStation.
