Description

I am paying for data from IQFeed and my broker is Interactive Brokers Canada ( IB ). Because I am not paying for data from IB I am not able to properly trade from my chart and my broker trade side panel does not function properly. When I right click on my chart, I do not have any Place Order option. Also my broker trade side panel does not show me bid/ask or correct profit/loss when I am in a trade. It is not getting data from IB because I do not have data from IB but in the status line at the top of my chart, I see bid/ask coming from IQFeed. So I would like a new feature that would allow the chart trading to get it's data from a vendor like IQFeed but still be able to route the order to my broker ( IB ). My symbol mapping is setup correctly and it works fine when I enter at the market. It also works fine for orders above the market, such as buy stops above and sell limits above the market. But for anything below the market, it does not work. When I drag a buy limit order below the market, it comes up with a price above the market so it would get filled immediately at the market. Same thing with a sell stop. Once I drag the sell stop below the market, it will ask me to have a sell stop at a price that is above the market and if I click yes, the order would get filled immediately. Hope this is clear.

Steps to reproduce this issue

Connect the datafeed with IQFeed and the broker to IB. Setup the symbol mapping and see what happens.

Pay IB $10/mo for RT data and this will be fixed... You need the quotes from your broker to trade.
