Re: Why do different versions yield different optimizations?
OK, I believe I have solved the issue. In our proprietary systems when we do optimizing from DT to 64 we will get a similar amount of results that again as per #2 above are mixed up and in no particular order. Again, for example you will have: MC DT: ROA____________RSI LE__________RSI SE 1000_______...

Re: Why do different versions yield different optimizations?
OK! Found some very interesting things along the testing pathway... 1. (SLIPPAGE ERROR?) DT adds or calculates slippage X 2. So if you put in slippage at $20 for MCDT and $20 for MC64 you will have a profit on a trade for MCDT @ $2622.5, where as the profit for MC64 will be $2642.5, this is consiste...

Re: Why do different versions yield different optimizations?
Is what I read so that's why I ask.The versions from different release cycles can produce different results as there are constant fixes and improvements introduced in each new version.
Never-mind though, I am commencing the testing. I'll get the info to you probably next week.
Cheers.

Hey Henry, I don't mind doing that; it'll take a bit of time. But, I'm wondering why I need to? You've already admitted that this is happening. I'm not sure my data would clarify the issue or just delay the enviable justification response that may or may not be required? Regardless, what versions wo...

Hi All / Henry, Sorry to be such a pain on this subject, but I really do think this is a major issue. Thanks for some clarification Henry. Yes, our optimizations have strict rules that use only integer numbers. I'm surprised I'm the only one concerned in this regard. Hello, I've been sticking to one multicharts version for awhile to keep my optimization results consistant. Re: NEW IQFeed User, comparing it to TS Data help
Ya, I'd really like to use the IQFeed, just checking all the symbols I use and see if they match up with what I can get through them. It would save us about 50% per month in data fees. Getting to understand the symbol catalogue now... +GC#C, etc... little wierd why they don't just call it @GC#C then...

OK, sorry guys. I'm not trying to be difficult. I just am trying to add the @ES#C symbol and it says that it does not exist. I search for @ES or just ES and @ES#C does not show on the list.

Re: NEW IQFeed User, comparing it to TS Data help
IQFeed does not have a back adjusted contract called @ES#C They have one called @ES# which I am referring to. As stated they have errors which do not reflect what you should have in a back adjusted contract. Unless I am mistaken about how it should be done. Maybe IQFeed users prefer it done this way?

Optimization speed is 4 times longer!
Hi,
Just upgraded TS to 9.0 so that may be the issue (I have it set for minimum hardware/network usage).
But, our optimizations on our systems would take about 45 to 50 seconds. They have consistantly been thus for 1.5 years.
Now they take 4 to 5 minutes!
any help?
cheers, Lee.
