bug
Not sure if this is where I should be posting, but I think I've found a bug in MultiCharts DT 7.0 Beta 3 (Build 46). When you edit the "Trailing stop" strategy and click on "PIP" to change it to "%" it doesn't stay like this once you save. To reproduce: 1. Go into "chart trading" or "DOM" trading. 2...

Display the same drawings (trendlines) on multiple charts
I have 3 charts showing the same symbol, but they all have different time frames. What I'd like to do is draw trendlines on one chart and have them appear on all charts so I can see how they apply to different time frames. Is MultiCharts able to do this? I already have the charts linked and that doe...

Re: exit nBars from entries - not BarsSinceEntry
Hi auscan, did you ever figure this out? I've got the same problem, I'm entering multiple positions and need a way to check how many bars ago the last position was entered.
If I could figure out a way to confirm that a Buy order was placed I could just count from there.

Watch out for missing data on Google's feed if backtesting
I just noticed that Google's data sometimes contains missing days which they fill with 0. This means if you backtest on the data with a trailing stop loss you always get stopped out because the stock hits $0. An example can be seen with BAP: http://finance.google.com/finance/historical?output=csv&q=...

Re: Walk Forward is greyed out in Portfolio Backtester
I was wondering if someone could confirm if "walk forward" is greyed out for them when performing a Portfolio Backtest? Thanks

Walk Forward is greyed out in Portfolio Backtester
I've been using "Walk Forward" in Multicharts for backtesting and it works great but when I try to use it in the Portfolio Backtester the Walk Forward check box is greyed out so I can't click it. Is this a limitation of the Portfolio Backtester? Or a missing setting?
Example screen shot is attached.

Re: Slippage and Commission in % value as well
I also have a need for this feature. Interactive Brokers charges me 0.08% per trade with a $6 minimum on the Australian Stock Exchange. This is a MUST for accurate backtesting.

How do I specify equity per trade in Portfolio Backtester
I've been using the Portfolio Backtester but can't figure out how to specify how much equity to to risk per trade. When I set "Max % of Capital at Risk per Position" the results are always the same. It only seems to purchase one share per position. I'm only new to MultiCharts so I apologise if this ...
