Checked and 'Data Server Mode' is Online.
Just found it though - thanks for the suggestion - the checkbox for 'Download historical data' was not checked'. I deleted all open charts, checked that box and now I have a chart with data. Thanks!

Re: How to get data from yahoo or google?
Should also mention that in the QuotesManager, Tools, Data Sources it shows that Free Quotes is Active and green. If there is something I should be doing differently, I can't find it anywhere.

Re: How to get data from yahoo or google?
Thanks TJ. Still doesn't work on my end. I must have something setup wrong somewhere. I do have a command line on my toolbar and I tried just typing in a symbol but still get the message 'No data'. Right click on the chart, select 'Format Instrument' and I see the data source is 'Free Quotes'. I hav...

How to get data from yahoo or google?
Tried using the QuoteManager to add a symbol from Free Quotes but always get a chart with the message "No Data". Tried this route first: "Instrument - Add Symbol - From Data Source" but the Free Quotes does not show up on that list. Tried adding it manually: "Instrument - Add Symbol - Manually". Dat...

MBTrading, historical breadth data available?
Currently using IB as my data feed. Have nearly everything I require except historical breadth data such as TICK, advancing issues and declining issues (NYSE). Just noticed that MBTrading works with Multicharts and was wondering if this data is available? I'm looking for 1 min data for TICK going ba...

Historical NYSE TICK data, IB data feed
Hoping someone else has this figured out. I use IB's data feed and need to find historical NYSE TICK data. IB's charting will backfill this data but in MC, only the current live value is imported into a chart (1 min chart). Does anyone know of a free source of historical TICK data that could be comb...

Custom Futures - can't get June ES contract
I've been trying to create a custom futures symbol in QuoteManager for ES using IB data. The data fills back a couple of years but it won't add the front month (June). It stops at March 2011. On the Edit Custom Future page, I have March, June, September and December checked. I've set rollover to 8 t...

how to limit # trades per day
Would like my strategy to only trade the first signal of the day and then ignore any others. Not sure how to set a flag or what keyword(s) I should look at for clues. The strategy works fine as is for the first trade of the day but then continues to trade and I'm not sure how to shut it off after it...

Re: Futures data for regular US stock trading hours
Thanks, that did it. Would have thought using Local Time and US Equity hours would have done the same thing but apparently not.

Futures data for regular US stock trading hours
Probably a dumb question but I can't figure this one out. I'm trying to plot a 1 min ES chart for regular trading hours (8:30 - 3:00, Central time). When I open up a chart and change the settings to 'US Stocks (Regular Trading Hours)' and the Time Zone to 'Local', the chart starts at 9:30 missing th...

Masterdata .csv files?
Does anyone use Masterdata with Multicharts? I'm looking into using this source but am testing it on an old copy of Metastock. Might have to translate the .csv file to Metastock format first? Curious to know if anyone else has had experience with this data vendor. Thanks

Any updates or has anyone been able to get advance decline data from IB into Multicharts? I too need this critical information. Thanks
