Re: Advice - Quick order entry for Chart Traders
***************************************************************** I think what you want, would be a few "customizable icons" where you could select a variety of entry options, such as "buy at bar high + x number of ticks" or "sell at bar Low - x number of ticks" from an icon edit menu.... they have...

Re: Advice - Quick order entry for Chart Traders
Thank you sptrader.
I want to quickly enter an order, not trade management after trade entry. For instance, if I see a strong bull bar, I want to enter a stop order 1 tick above the high of this signal bar, how do you recommend to enter quickly without missing the trade? Thanks.

Vote - Quick Order Entry Customizable Icons
As manual Chart Traders, we really like to have a feature to enter order quickly. The other trading platform has a third party add-on, it works very well. 1. Breakout Trader: if you expect market goes up, just click a button "Buy High", once previous bar high breaks, your order will be automatically...

Price increment setup
Hello MC,
When I open ES chart and move the cross on the chart, the price reading shows: 1406.13, 1406.58, 1406.79, and so on. How to setup for the price increment to be only shown as 1406.25, 1406.50, 1406.75? No one want to see price like 1406.13 on the ES chart when move the cross.
Thanks

IB True Data and Accurate Bars
Hello MC Team, SC just added a great feature to use IB True Data to create accurate intraday bars, "The advantage of enabling Record True Real-Time Data in Intraday Charts , is that the Open, High, Low, and Close values for each bar in the chart are now accurate and the Volume for each bar is accura...

CL symbol
Hello, I need your help to choose the future CL symbol. I checked IB and other platforms, they only have one option for May 2012 CL symbol, but in MC, when I try to add the symbol from quote manager and IB data, it gave me 6 symbols, CLK2, CLK3, CLK4,CLK5,CLK6, CLK7, I am so confused, could you anyo...

Re: MC Spread on IB . Is MC is getting paid 1 pip by IB?
Possibly because IB uses real time data for their DOM, but MC received data every fraction of second. When I use IB data on MC chart, the bars always 1 or 2 ticks short, because MC receives not real time data, and I don't think MC eats your ticks.

Re: What component of MultiCharts do you want to be optimize
Like many people said, "Prioritize and address the core functionality of 'trading' related activity." I am glad MC is considering to improve 1): ATM strategy; 2): IB 5-second update chart. When you search online, you will always see NT concentrates on ATM, ATM, and ATM, which makes chart trading ver...

Re: IB 5 second update data
Hi Henry,
MC 7.4 (Build 4906)
NQH2
IB Setting Attached
My test shows that MC, NT, and SC will get the same chart if not use IB 5 second update data to create charts, that's why SC added it to their platform, NT is planning to.

Re: IB 5 second update data
IB tick data is filtered, not real tick data. When you create time based chart, such as 1m/5m, the bar high/low very often miss tick or ticks.
Please look at the attached comparison, you will find why IB 5-second real time data can help to create accurate bars.

IB 5 second update data
Hello MC Team, IB has an API call of a 5 second bar that provides the current bar's OHLCV value every 5 seconds, this is very useful feature for anyone using IB data feed to create accurate bar high/low. Currently, SC has this function, and NT is planning to add it in the next release, http://www.NT...

Re: Master Strategy : difficult to master
Suppose your broker is FXCM and you want to use Master Strategy. In practice, Master Strategy will randomly turn into a Bracket Strategy, using the first target price and the first stop loss price for the full open position ... Master Strategy thinks he's the master and decides unilaterally to chan...
