I can confirm now that this can even happen with a simple Mov Avg cross strategy pulled from multicharts default list with no antivirus running. memory usage will increase, but it should decrease as the memory usage declines. If it expands but does not contract and keeps getting bigger, than it could be a memory leak. At this point the only thing that brings my ram usage down is a restart of multicharts. It doesn't matter if I'm autotrading...

Thanks Andrew, that looks like a great implementation and could possibly make coding out some ideas easier for me to see. Hopefully its not to far off, I'd like to get my hands on that feature.I believe the feature assigned to MC 9 should be helpful for your scenario.

would it be possible to have bar magnifier backtest for an indicator?
with the new feature of having a study value for a signal input, this could be helpful.

deleted an unused Norton and modded my other antivirus program further to allow MC hopefully this does it. if anyone autotrades rithmic local sim and has or has not experienced this please chime in. I'm not showing any error logs or disconnects either.

I've since, deleted and reinstalled MC 8.5 beta and deleted CQG API. I'm now only running MBtrading and receiving data as normal. however volume now only comes in real time. And now with a reload(ctrl R), any volume data previously collected real-time goes away.

It seems as though RTH is off when i adjust for local time PST. but if i use exchange time its correct. I can get around it by using a custom session template but i don't think i should have to.
