Contacted live support. Helpdesk is really cool. Issue resolved. Aparently the auto load feature got turned off somehow and I just didn't think to try to load a chart manually - duh! Oh well. All charts are up and data looks good.

It's true that a previous version of MCFX inserted gaps between candles at the locations of session breaks. (The trader in question however was definitely talking about the truncated candle issue. I am using Gain and seams to better. Some gaps on fxcm where not present in gain. You have to change the port : file/preferences/logon options. Change the port from 8000 to 9000. Close mcfx, be sure that all the processes have ended, restart mcfx. So port 8000 is for fxcm and 9000 for gain capital....
