From my experience it is common amongst DOMs to enter Stop buy orders if you click above the best offer, and limit orders if you click at or below the best offer. The better order entry platforms allow you to change it from a stop to a stop limit.

Hi GTrader,

Be careful using volume with real-time IB data - it is grossly inaccurate. While all real-time feeds have differences between their real-time volume data and historical volume data - IB is the worst of the bunch.

Session definitions do not have a date and it probably makes no sense for a session to have a date. Session is a template for trading days, but not trading days them self. I hope that makes sense. To get a trading date, you just use Bars.Time[0]

Thanks for the example JoshM. I still feel this is jumping through hoops and wish MC staff would focus their product towards the usability of discretionary traders more than they do.

Jumping through hoops using Reset(). None of this would be required if the indicator style I mention would be implemented internally. Historical Order Entry Strategy Doesn't Allow Quantity

Hi there, In exploring the MC.net supplied Historical Entry Strategy, there is a user defined parameter of Quantity that appears it should be the trade size. However, it gets ignored and the default is used. I looked at the code, is the problem in the Create() when OrderCreator is setting up the ord...

I still think it would be a useful draw style addition. Many charting applications provide it. Forcing the programmer to jump through hoops on this just adds complexity to your platform and does nothing to make the application easy to use and expand the user base.
