Max number of open workspaces?
Hi, Is there any limit to the number of open workspaces that can be run at the same time? Ideally, I want to have 65 workspaces open. Each one with a single instrument/chart and a few signals/indicators. Before I go ahead and set this up, are there any limits I should be aware of? A scanner window t...

Re: MultiCharts Portfolio Trading Strategies
Within Portfolio Trading, apart from the obvious basics, I would like to see the following functions as an option when configuring the portfolio rules: 1 - Being able to assign our own custom signals to a portfolio. We have already programmed our own custom signals using MC.Net. 2 - Ability to split...

Re: Portfolio Trading
Hi Henry, Thanks for the reply. Why is there secrecy surrounding the features that will be part of portfolio trading? Surely your programers know what features they are working on? Why can't you share this information? I need to know the exact features and custom variables of the planned portfolio t...

Henry, Thanks for the reply. Before it was going to be available in the first half of 2013. Now it's second half of 2013? Could you be a little more specific? Also, what are the planned initial features and functions for the portfolio trading / management component of MC9? I feel like a mushroom whe...

Re: Portfolio Trading
We need to be able to scan for set ups/entries and trade the portfolio from a list of symbols (such as the scanner window)... No one wants to add a strategy manually to individual charts within a portfolio... What if I would like to scan a list of 300 instruments? That's a lot of open windows to man...

How to account for splits when backtesting
Hi, I use eSignal for data. Whenever an instrument has a historic split, the eSignal software automatically accounts/adjusts for them which keeps everything nice and orderly. When the data is fed into MC the splits are not accounted for... This is a nightmare. Attached is a chart for ticker symbol B...

Re: How to utilize Real Time Market Scanner for auto trading
Henry, I agree, MC needs this function. For traders who want to auto-trade a portfolio based on different asset classes, we need some way of referencing the different scanner groups. Then we can code rules such as: no more than 25% of the portfolio value to be invested in any one group. This allows ...

Hi Henry,
Thanks for the reply.

Any idea when the 'next version' of MC.Net will be launched?
Thanks for the reply.

Re: Auto-trading GTC Orders via IB [SOLVED]
Thanks Henry... As a follow up question, do you know if anyone is using MC.Net along with an IB "Professional Adviser account" to auto-trade their linked customers IB accounts? As you probably know, IB is available for asset managers and investment advisers. A customer (of theirs) can open a trading...

How to change the MC default printing colours
Hi, I know this is a simple question, but how do you change the default printing colours in MC? At present the charts have a light grey/blue background. I would much prefer the background to be white (to save the amount of ink I am wasting). Also, I am using red and green candles, but they print as ...

Hi Peter,
Thanks for your idea...
If there are more of us out there who would like the same ETF instrument feature, maybe MC will consider adding it in a future update

ETF's as a seperate instrument?
Hi, Is it possible to show ETF's as a separate instrument? They are after all a hybrid between a stock and a mutual fund (kind of)... I know ETF's are shown within stocks tab (when adding a new symbol such as SPY) but I just wondered if it's possible for ETF's to have their own tab within the instru...

Getting Started - Best Method To Learn MultiCharts
Hi, I am currently using the 30 day trial of MC along with my eSignal software/data. Eventually I will add / connect IB account.
