Re: Moving Average for MACD Histogram [SOLVED]
MultiCharts with PowerLanguage has this feature without programming: Study on study . That's exactly what I need but looks like I chose the wrong version... Why is this option not available in .NET MC? I thought the feature list was supposed to be identical? I don't want to purchase another lifetim...

Re: Moving Average for MACD Histogram [SOLVED]
Thanks Henry,Hello datamonkey,
Please see MultiCharts .NET FAQ post #15:
How to access objects of one study from the another one.
Is that the only way? To code the indicator?
I have zero .NET coding knowledge so would appear to be stuck! :/

Moving Average for MACD Histogram [SOLVED]
In sub-chart 2 I have MACD open and I want to add a Moving Average which is calculated on the histogram values, not price action. When adding an MA to the sub-chart all I seem to be able to get is the MA calculated on price, not the MACD itself. I've looked in the 'Format Study' options window but c...

If you are able to replicate this behavior - please come to our live chat Monday-Friday 6:30 am - 2 pm EST to demonstrate it remotely. We will do our best to help you. That would mean someone would have to watch me live trading in real time waiting for it to happen. Could be 5 minutes, could be 5 h...

Re: Bracket Orders Not Executing...
Hello datamonkey, Please go to File -> New -> Order and position tracker window- >Orders tab. Can you see the bracket orders in the list? What is the State of these orders? If they are rejected - please check the reason at the Logs tab. Hi, yes the bracket orders are under the list in the 'Orders' ...

Bracket Orders Not Executing...
When my order gets filled on a trade I have bracket orders set to deploy automatically for set stop loss and take profit levels. Most of the time these execute as intended, however recently there have been times, seemingly at random, where they have failed to work at all so I have to drag the bracke...

Re: Missing Data [11th december 14] [SOLVED]
I have re-started the software so suppose I'm out of luck.
If I have another, un-related issue can I ask you here or would you prefer I start another thread? It's regarding bracket orders not always executing in live trades (even though 'Auto Attach As Exit Strategy' is selected)?

Hello datamonkey, Rithmic provides historical tick data for the last trading session only. If current session is already open - you won't be able to access the tick data from the previous session. Yeah thanks I'm aware of that. I was accessing data yesterday to load the data from yesterday but it d...

Missing Data [11th december 14] [SOLVED]
As the title suggests I am missing historical data on all instruments [YM, NQ, 6E] from 5pm - 11pm GMT and not sure why. This was a period where I had logged off and turned my PC off and on again. I am using tick charts on the Rithmic feed and the data usually loads fine. Not sure why it hasn't this...

Re: MC on OS X
Yeah it's a shame admin haven't replied here but I'd consider that a sign the answer would be negative.I'm curious if MC would consider an alternative MC for Macs..
Having said that I am now more than happy with my setup running Windows MC on my iMac. It's a beautiful partnership!

Re: MC on OS X
Welcome to the world of Macs ! I highly recommend the magic trackpad over any mouse. I mark up all my charts and it's quicker and more accurate than the trackball I use on my windows machine Yeah I might look into that as that way I'd be able to use all the multi-gestures that the OS has. I use key...

Is it just the 'database" I need to move or is there more to it than that? See How to Backup User Data (there's also info there about restoring MultiCharts). If you changed the locations of MC files/directories, see here for how to re-find that setting and to locate the files. If your old pc was 32...

Re: MC on OS X
Yes, Parallels upgrades look unkind to users. How does your machine perform while doing optimizations or other compute-intensive tasks in MC? I would think that the Mac would have a difficult time keeping up as it has to simultaneously share its resources with two operating systems. My iMac has bee...

Unfortunately, the number of traders on Macintosh computers is probably less than 2% of the total market (the number of total Macintosh computers out there is less than 5% of the total desktop market). Re: MC on OS X
I'd love this :) The only reason I own a PC is because MC and most other trading software isn't OS X friendly. Yeah that's what has prevented me for so long too but now my Windows PC is on its last legs I'm going to take the plunge for a high spec iMac. Ironically I heard that Macs run Windows bett...

Just wondering if there will ever be a release of MC for OS X seeing as Apple PC's are becoming more popular over Windows machines? I realise the overall PC market is shrinking due to tablets, however as traders I'm sure we will ensure there will be a market for desktops/laptops at least for the for...
