IB data is and will most likely always be slow to reload due to IB pace violation etc, , try other providers like IQ etc and you will see that its very fast in MC.
Imho, IB data is really horrible to deal with and cant/should not be used for any testing.

I have not founded another way than trough great pain mapping (in my case) iq dtn symbol x, to IB SMART for symbol x.. Download WinMtr and run it the whole day and nigh to their IPs, and check if you have any losses during the time when you see connection loss. So you can rule out issues. No issues at any point with data from IQ, either data drops, or reconnection attempts.
I am however still running MC 12 for live trading server, since its impossible to understand if MC14 has known bugs that causes crashes and data drops.

My few cents on the matter... been live trading system with MC for several years.. always waiting until new version is stable before updating, so i am lagging 2-3 versions back in order to make sure things are as stable as possible. Still using MC12. Live trading intraday systems on 7 future markets...

Same issue here... only solution is be forced to sign up for their larger software, and then like a miracle, data manager will work... its just a way for them to force people to pay more for a software that some people like you and and me dont want or need.. For 7 years I've always just added "C" to "#". Job done. You'll find that not all IQfeed tickers are searchable in MC. I'd use the IQfeed apps to search if you get stuck. Adding backadjusted contracts from IQ, not working [SOLVED]
HI, I was looking to ad for example @S#C qcl#c qng#c they exists in IQ DTN, but according to them it has been a problem since 5 years back that Multicharts users contact their support in order to find the backadjusted contracts since they can NOT be imported by auto, they need to be created manually...

Would not the whole issue with the problematic part of running several strategies on same symbol be possible to solve in an easy way, if one could set separate accounts in properties for the chart, so you could chose one trading IB account for SHORT, and another one for LONG positions... i also agre...

Could someone from MC support team respond, since there is a connection between the long known problem with G++ error when compiling and line 0 column 0 error, and its known to arrrive after updating windows 10, however seems not to be always needed since in my case it happens wihout updating window...

I will but a popup saying If i want G++EXE allowed to be run, after i do this, Power language editor compiles error, line 0 etc
I assume its a common error and not just on my pc.
I had it a few weeks ago and reinstalled .. then it went away
and now its back

Same issue here, and i just posted on the forum yesterday about the G++ EXE compile error, i also get the line 0 compilation error at the same time, and i believe it has something to do with G++ since i get this warning.... i first got it a few weeks ago, i then had to uninstall and then reinstall, ...
