Re: Change Format of mails generated by Alert function?
Spaceant, MC generates logs for a lot of the info that it handles: one of the logs is the MessageCenter_Trace.txt You find this log file under the Logs\MessageCenter folder in the Mulicharts Log files folder located in Documents and Settings under your user account. If you enable an alert in a Study...

Re: Change Format of mails generated by Alert function?
Dave, Thank you for the reply. I have found a workaround to read the MessageCenter_Trace log file from MC with a 3rd-party application, Corner Bowl ( mentioned by another user of the forum). Corner Bowl can interpret the message, if necessary change the format and send notifications as needed (email...

Change Format of mails generated by Alert function?
Hi, I try to forward mails to an SMS gateway (Clickatell) which reads the body of the mail for parameters to generate an SMS. Mails are sent by MC but there are a lot of paramaters in the body that prevent the SMS gateway from reading it correctly. (The gateway interprets commands using variable nam...

Re: Problem importing an .eld bought from EMini-Watch: OK!
A short update: Barry from Emini-watch helped me in a prompt and kind matter by recompiling the .eld for Multicharts. I got to know the site from a post by TJ. It's definitely worth checking out: www.emini-watch.com Hi All, I bought the Better Momentum indicator from Emini-Watch for TS. The file you...

TJ, Thanks for your reply. I already suggested to E-mini Watch to compile the indicator with a multicharts trial version. (Even promised to put in praise for their work among the MC community  ) I am awaiting their response now. I like the suggestion to ask TSSuport to recompile it, but am afr...

Problem importing an .eld bought from EMini-Watch
Hi All, I bought the Better Momentum indicator from Emini-Watch for TS. The file you obtain is an .eld. However I cannot get it imported in Multicharts. Trailing stop problem with auto trading in MC 5 beta3
I am testing auto trading with IB in MC5 beta3, using a trailing stop. When the entry order is filled, the first trailing stop is set alright in TWS. However it does not update in IB until the next bar. This behaviour is strange as the setdollartrading is supposed to be evaluated at every tick. Neit...

Hi Super, No problem here you go: inputs: variatie (.2) ; condition1 = C < O ; // Currentbar bar is red if time > 0000 and time < 2350 then begin if marketposition = 0 then begin if condition1 then Buy ( "Barchg LE" ) next bar at close + variatie stop ; end; end; I am testing this on the April gold ...

Different perf. results for same strategy on MC 4 and MC 5
There is a big difference between backtesting results I get for a simple strategy on MC v4.0 and MC v5 beta3. The strategy tested is very simple: Buy next bar if the current bar is a downbar Sellshort next bar if the current bar is an upbar Teh performance results differ greatly. On v4.0 the strateg...
