Re: Database

Is there any other way to reduce the Db, other than running this gbak file? In my view this is total nonsense not to be able to navigate to the data files & manually delete them. In addition to this fix, it seems to me when i create the new Db i wont have access to historical data in various formats...

Replace wav files with (that other format)/ Ind

As it stands now, with the current ver of MC, (5.5); the audio
for alerts in your indicators, uses a wav. file, lets kindly get into
the 21st century here. the other format (we all know) is less than half the size of wav.
files, currently MC does not support (that other format); Lets get er done!

MC is a 32 bit app, it utilizes 2gb of ram for this platform,
u could have 32 gb of ram; it doesent matter, if they redesign
MC as a 64 bit app u can realize more ram, welcome to the
wonderful world of MC...............

Since today is JEK's birthday I request the command-line market data export/import feature and an API rather than a command line interface even if it just for such high end individuals as JEK. I think this would be a fantastic birthday present and even Christmas present for him. Here here JEK. HAPP...

At the risk of making a suggestion, a really valuable addition would be a market data API that we can plug into that can both read and write the database as well as hook in as a filter.

I'm resolving the issues with my database internally and have come up with a way to insure the corruption never happens again.
Please tell us what you use to insure no corruption and what you are doing to resolve the issues? Is there a fix or tool from MC?
Yes indeed please tell us.

holes in data

It would be really nice if MC could fix all the bullet holes in the
data. I can never really trust the data i have,(ver.3.0.1200) many years ago i used
TS 4.0 & never encountered data issues, we seem to be going
backwards here'''''''''''''''''''''' :(
