When I upgraded to MC9 I found that MC can no longer to download charts from Interactive Brokers or download positions. Used to work in the old version.

Please find attached my MC symbol map between the DAX as in eSignal with the DAX as in Interactive Brokers. As the symbol is not recognized MC is unable to show historical OR current trades on the chart.

I have a system on the portfolio backtester.

1. How do I buy say 10% of the original portfolio size rather than just say 100 shares?
2. Also if there is not enough cash will the backtester stop or limit the purchase?
3. Is there anyway of ranking signals that trigger on the same day?

I notice an annoying behaviour in that the symbol letter only link but the data source does not. Is there any around this?

I have the same problem with both version 5.5 gold and version 6 beta 2. When the number of symbols gets large (say above 100), the data loading seems to hang.

I see this problem whether I use metastock daily data or esignal daily data. Am I doing something wrong?

Every month or so I find I really need Multicharts to directly access Worden. Other packages like AB.com can read it directly. Exporting in ascii is really cumbersone and how about updates?

I trade a rather slow stock market. When I plot the daily chart, the last day does not appear until a tick occurs. Is there any way around it. For this market, the next tick may take a few minutes.

I am using MC 6 beta 2. Using backtester for the first time I find an error message that I use more than 50 maxbarsback. However I am unable to find an dialog to increase this as required by my study.

I tried writing the command to files but found that Multicharts did not release the finds after writing them. I am using a simple print sttement from MC. Is there a way of making MC release the text files. bracket-trader needs todelete to file to know that it has executed the command.

I had a surprising problem with these functions. They work as intended of commission and slippage are zero. But if they are non-zero, there are actually added to the Amount parameter, which actually changes the strategy.

I don't remember TS working this way before.

TS 2000i, you could see the orders posted before execution. This was you could get ready. By the time the order triggers on the screen you could have missed the order (ie. market could have run away).

It wasn't a question just a behaviour with Global Variables. The GV Easy Language wrappers for series will block any calls to the DLL before the last bar on chart. I actually read the manual page 8.

So to call GV at any time, you have to call directly to the DLL and not use the EL wrappers.

I have installed MC and eSignal 10. However when it comes to forex symbols from the market marker Hotspot Retail, I find that MC is unable to download historical data. Ticks however are still captured. I attacted the log from the MC quote manager.

I think I have found a bug in custom time zones. When I enter GMT + 8 as +60 x 8, the numbers seems to come out back wards. I enter -(minus) 60 x 8 ad it seems to work OK.

IDEALPRO does not have any stocks. Try searching under the 'CASH' tab using USD or EUR. But its the weekend now and IB is not available on weekends and you really need a new trading day to note the missing new bar.

Using IB as the feed, if I display a daily chart of the stock, when the new session starts a new bar is printed until the close. However for IDEALPRO symbols, a new bar is not printed for the current day. Is there anyway of getting the current days bar to print?

I accessed q_bid and q_ask in PL and noted that while the compiler allowed q_bid[1] and q_ask[1], the same numbers are returned. Is this correct? The compiler allows q_bid and qBid[1] but they are equal?
