Anyone Using Patsystems as a Data Source?

Hi, My broker will soon be offering J-Trader and I'm wondering if any MC users are using Patsystems as a data source for futures and how successful is it with MC? Bugs, glitches or plain sailing?

Re: Mcast export

Hi Milton, Are you using the Mcast database or the Globalserver for your MCharts feed? Up till now I haven't found the Mcast plugin for Mcharts to work properly, so gave up and kept using the Globalserver as a feed. You can export the data out of the Mcast Dbase using a DOS utility as a screen dump....

Just make posters register properly

Hi, I have to agree with Nick. If someone isn't willing to register with you and give a genuine email address for a confirmation request to be sent to, then at the best they are probably time-wasters and mostly will be spammers. Just about every forum I've subscribed to lately has this requirement. ...

New tick bars not being created on time?

Hi, I created this indicator and function "GetTickValue" in 2000i by text and then exported it as an ELS file to post it. As such, the 2 functions necessary for it to work are created in the ELS file automatically, whereas there is only one added function in the original text files at the TS forum. ...

Tickcountdown Timer ELS to try

Hi, here's a TS ELS for Tick Countdown that imports ok to MCharts courtesy of the TS forum. I haven't tried it out live...just checked it out on a tick chart to see if it came up ok. I'll find out tomorrow. I didn't overwrite one of the functions that was already in MCharts as a precaution. Cheers, ...

Voice and price changes

Hi, I would have to agree that the 1st priority is to get rid of the obvious bugs. Just shutting down cleanly when feeding from Excel and the Globalserver would be nice. As it is I'm having to force a shutdown of the various exe files that MC uses ever since version 1.9. The program uses far too man...

JPEGS of dll data

Hi Alex, just installed the dll. Not getting -1 values anymore but the program is still polling for data rather than just recording changes. I've attached 2 snapshots to show the Globalserver actual data compared to the MC data from Marketcast. The Globalserver is also feeding from Marketcast. As yo...

missing dll

Hi Alex, that's not my isp provider. I just had a look at my profile and the email address is correct. I've sent you an email direct to support with the same address. Please send the dll back on the bigpond.com address and I'll try it out. Cheers, foxtrot

Re Marketcast SDK

Hi, I rang Marketcast and the SDK hasn't changed for a number of years, at least back to 2002 as far as support could tell me. It can't be too hard to get it working if the data is at least being recorded...depending on what it takes to eliminate the false -1 ticks, of course.

Marketcast Version

Hi Alex, I'm using Version 2.11 Data Server and DDE Server with the compressed feed update Ver 2.20 (2.21 actual) that was released June 2004 to match the new feed protocol being used. Ver 2.11 itself goes back to around 2002. To the best of my knowledge this is the current feed setup. I don't know ...

Reply to Alex

Hi Alex, thanks for the reply. Looking back I think i can see where the problem possibly came from. I had a secondary hard drive fail on my server and when I replaced it I moved Tradestaion from drive D on the main SCSI to the replacement drive on E to get more room, seeing the database is now over ...

Update

Further to this I've found that disconnecting and reconnecting all the Globalserver symbols helps to kick it back into life again, but surely an update shouldn't cause this much angst if you have a fair number of symbols, both futures and stocks. I'm using On-Demand in preferences. I'll see what tom...

Version 1230 No Longer Connects to Globalserver!!

Installing Ver 1230 fixed the verification problem with my custom indicators but now the program no longer works reliably with the Globalserver. I've tried all the usual uninstal- reinstal procedures but it now will not collect data real-time from existing symbols and if a new symbol is created it w...
