.ela and .els are old TS2000i formats. .els can be both protected and unprotected. eld is the TS8 format. .pla and .xml are MultiCharts formats.
For you, as a user, there isn't much difference which format the file is in. They are not reserved for specific types of studies.

The only way for MultiCharts not to download expired contracts is to switch into the 'Offline' mode. However, if you have regular charts alongside the expired ones, you won't be able to receive new data for those charts either.

Compilation does not use multiple processors. What's important for the compilation speed is the frequency of a single core. So if the frequency on your new machine is lower than on the old machine, compilation on the new machine will take longer.

What you would need to do is:

1. install the dll
2. add the expired contracts (from Data Source -> IB) into QuoteManager again.

Other messages are displayed in English. This is why you can see them without any problems. The 'division by zero' error message is displayed in the OS language. Obviously, in your case MultiCharts can't show the characters correctly.
