did you switch data source at one time?
I have found that this can happen as the original symbol gets corrupted by the second data source.
when you switch back to the original data source, your chart creates could not find the original database and starts a new one.

I figured it out... the Editor can only hold so many characters.
I pared down the words, using acronyms and short forms wherever possible.
and the magic color came back !

ok, i can see the root of the problem: both Average and averagefc are calling another function. because the second function is not aware of the dataN reference, it is using data1 for its calculation... thus the wrong result. I don't know, if this is a MC bug, or if there is a way for MC to make subs...

you can try AVERAGE instead of AVERAGEFC.

it is "slower", but with today's computer, i don't think anybody can see the difference.

I never had this problem when I was using v2.
They must have stepped up the authentication.

I wrote this little indicator routine to capture the chart's pertinent data.

just compile the code... and apply it to any chart window you are working on.
it will capture the userid, symbol, bartype, barinterval, bigpoint value, etc.

I do exactly what you do. The settings are fixed in QM (08:30 - 15.15, Mon-Fri). I only flip in MC (on chart level) between 24h and regular.

I am using v4b1440 with IB.

The internet is ok now. The ISP pulled a new wire for me so the signal is strong and stable. However I afraid MC will stop working again when there is a brief internet fault.

or, make a dummy indicator to mark the last price.
