Re: spiked in ESTX50-DTB and GBL today
Hello Sir,
We have implemented additional filter for real-time IB spikes in MultiCharts 8.0 beta 1.
We recommend to update to this version and also select the option in the QuoteManager->Tools->Data sources->IB->Settings->Generate new tick if total volume changes.
Then reload the chart using Ctrl+R.
There is also a couple of workarounds for IB spikes on historical data (in case your MultiCharts version is lower than 8.0 beta 1).
1. Press Ctrl+R to reload the chart. If the spike was fixed by datafeed-it will be replaced with a correct bar.
If this is not helpful:
2. Please close all Multicharts windows.
Make sure that all processes are closed in Task Manager.
List of processes:
atCenterServer.exe
Fixserver.exe
MultiCharts.exe
MessageCenter.exe
PLEditor.exe
QuoteManager.exe
StudyServer.exe
tsServer.exe
TradingServer.exe
TPserver.exe
Then start the Quote Manager.
Make a right click on the symbol->select "Clear cache".
Make a right click on the symbol->select "Edit data". Change the erroneous line to the approximately correct value (in this case the bar won't be downloaded from datafeed and won't be replaced if it is still incorrect).
Close the Quote Manager and make sure that all processes are closed in Task manager.
Run Multicharts and build the chart with the desired symbol.
Now the spike should be gone. Please do not reload the chart, if the spike is not fixed at the server-it will be back to the chart.
