As per the instructions in
https://www.multicharts.com/trading-sof ... _User_Data
I am trying to back up multicharts user data from quote manager. I did following steps.
Quote Manager > File > Export Data > Export All Instruments, clicking on next leads to Export symbols with settings, no data Unchecked and second option was greyed.
Clicking on next does some processing after which I get the screen having Resolution and Data Range, clicking on next leads to Export File Name.
The file name is Export.qmd and location is in my documents, clicking on next leads to a message box with
Error: Access is denied: 'Export.qmd'.
Seems like a weird problem. I am stuck here, can MC team help please thanks.

Re: Error: Access is denied: 'Export.qmd'. backing up user d
Have you tried the "..." button (from the window of which the screenshot was taken) to specify the directory to which the file needs to be saved? When I export, I specify the directory (like "C:\Temp\Export.qmd" instead of "Export.qmd") and it works correctly.
See step 6 under the header 'How to export data' in this wiki article:

6. Enter the name of the *.qmd file and choose the path where it will be located.
