Postby arjfca » 05 Oct 2012

I have not found a link that explain it.

I have another dummy question: it is possible to prevent recalculation of the script when using the Expert Commentary window?

I'd like to use the Expert Commentary in a strategy, but it's not doable to have this strategy recalculate every time a bar is clicked. I couldn't find a PowerLanguage reserved word for this; anyone got an idea?

Hello JoshM,

There is no way to do that. This is how expert commentary is designed-it requires study calculation in order to show the information you are requesting.
It is recommended to split the trading strategy and expert commentary study to prevent excessive strategy calculations.

Thanks Henry, that's a good idea and now the recalculation isn't really noticeable. Nice feature, the Expert Commentary.
