Metastock Xenith datafeed

Postby glam_100 » 20 Mar 2013

Is there any plan to support Metastock Xenith data feed?

How much does it cost if I want to ask MC to develop a custom datafeed to suport Metastock Xenith?

Anyone interested in chipping in for the development cost?

Worldwide data available for a low cost:

My question is, will Thomson provide an API so others can use their data?
I don't know about that.
The last version of Metastock standalone EOD version is blocked to outside data providers to force users to subscribe their own feed and users were really pissed by that decision. They basically said that if Thomson won't allow MS to use other data providers they will not upgrade to the latest version, continuing using the previous versions. And what I found interesting was what they also said which was - what's the point of continuing to pay for every new version when nothing new has been done with the program. The only thing MS has on every new version is new indicators which power users have no need of.
Since Equis sold MS to Reuters MS has been dying from a very slow death which is unfortunate because I used MS for years, from version 6 to 10 and it was a very solid chart platform. When I move from EOD to daytrade I ended up ditching it because they were not capable of offering the tools I was starting to read and learn about.

Because of that I discover MC and from that day I never looked back :)
