What is ADE: "All data everywhere"

Postby arjfca » 01 Jun 2013

Hello

I read an article about an indicator that was using ADE in TS. Did try to find info on the wiki, nothing. It seem to be similar usage as the global variable.

If so, is it better? Why and when would it be OK to use it.

I do use a lot global variable, mainly named string. I got a memory leak somewhere, but don't know if it is related to the global variables or the Elexcel ( dll to write data to an Excel sheet). My charts (8 minutes with 300 bars history) keep growing until I receive a warning from MC that I'm reaching the maximum byte usage limit.

Any info appreciated

Martin

ADE is sort of the same as GV but one of the most important difference, if I am not mistaking, is that ADE can also be used for backtesting historical data and that is not possible with GV.
