Bitcoin charts

Postby admin » 02 Jul 2013

Ever heard of Bitcoin? It’s the new cryptocurrency that everyone is talking about, which may take over the world as the Internet once did. While there are no Bitcoin charts on MultiCharts, you can check them out on our free web resource TradingView. Here is a live Bitcoin/US Dollar chart.

Why can't there be a bitcoin chart on Multicharts?

By the way, there is a proposal for a bitcoin ETF filed with the SEC.

Then it should possible to trade a proxy on a regulated exchange. Really?

Regarding Bitcoin, for those unfamiliar with it, Bitcoin is NOT (just) money. It is a very broad protocol (value storing and transacting are just most widely used elements of it at the moment), just like tcp is a protocol.

A significant number of new products and services are being developed based on the Bitcoin protocol, e.g. contract concluding, ''smart property'', dispute resolutions, decentralized exchanges, etc.

Here is a short clip that gives you a brief look into the matters not covered / not understood by mainstream media: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mD4L7xDNCmA

It is possible today, it depends on what data you have.

I use CME's Bitcoin Real Time Index (symbol BRTI.X), and the Swedish traded ETFs BITCOIN.XBT (BITCOINXB) that follows the price of bitcoin in Euro and in Swedish Krona (2 different ETFs).

Starting from next month we will hopefully have CME's Bitcoin futures too.

Is it better https://poloniex.com or bitfinex?

What are the difference?

Bitfinex more advanced and professional for algo trading. It's like an exchange CME.

Bitfinex and Multicharts

Postby tonyng » 03 Dec 2017

Hi,

Has anyone ever used Bitfinex to trade Bitcoins. Is there any 3rd party plug-in written for MC for connecting to Bitfinex?

I just found out NT has a plug in for it:

CBOE's bitcoin futures have started to trade, available at IB with the symbol GXBT.
CME's futures will be launched next week.

If you receive IQfeed data, the Bitcoin futures contract is trading under the symbol @XBTF18 (Jan 2018 futures contract)..

It would be really nice for MC to add either Bittrex (preferred), or Bitfinex API, similar to Ava trader. There are soo many more alts trading there - you will attract many more clients.
