COMBINE BID ASK AND TRADE INT ONE STREAM!!!

Postby Guest » 05 Feb 2007

iT WOULD BE A GREAT FEATURE IN MC IF I COULD CHOOSE COMBINATION OF FIELDS IN THE FORMAT SETTINGS MENU.

FOR EXAMPLE COMBINE BID AND ASK.
OR COMBINE BID ASK AND TRADE.

DATA WOULD GO INTO ONE STRAM.

THERE IS ONLY ONE CHARTING PROGRAMM ON THE MARKET THAT IS PROVIDING THIS KINDE OF FEATURE.

WOULD BE GREAT AND PERHAPSE MABE NECESSARY TO ADD THIS FEATURE TO MC. WOULD GIVE YOU GUYS A TREMENDOUS EDGE TO YOUR COMPETITORS.

ANY CHANCE YOU COULD ADD THIS TO YOUR PROGRAMM??

What software do you mean? Could you describe this feature in more detail?
Actually, in the second quarter we are palnning to add synthetic symbols so that our users will be able to combine the fields.

I'm not sure if this is what the first poster means but here is my wish :)

Capture trade bid ask and have the option of capturing depth of market data into the database with time stamp for each datum arriving.

Allow this data to be 'streamed' into charts (and so studies also) datum by datum. Put another way a change in any of these data streams cause a 'tick' in the chart. This allows you do do things like volume at bid volume at ask without having to keep a seperate database (see damageboys study http://forum.tssupport.com/viewtopic.php?t=2315 this would mean the database portion of his study would be un-neccasary as things would load correctly anyway).

Neoticker has this sort of feature they call it 'TickPrecise' technology from memory.

Cheers.

The software is coming from CQG. In the meantime someone told me DTN's Prophet X Software can do this as well.

As prices of the BID ASK or Trade of an Instrument are coming in Charts are drawn of this data.

The chart does not make a difference wether it is a bid ask or trade price.
It is one stream for the chart.

This is extreamely important for Price Intervall Charts because you cannot simply overlay bid ask and trade data to achieve a authentic 5 point RANGE BAR Chart. You really need one stream of data to catch 5 point movements of bid/ask

Seperate streams of bid or ask prices can only draw a 5point range bar of for example the ask if the ask and only the ask has moved 5 points not if thebid and ask together made a move of 5 points. This is a exreamly important difference!

To achieve this the bid ask and as an option the trade price must be able to go into one stream for the calculation of a range bar or kagi or point and figure or any other price intervall chart.

It is also good for better visuality within a timeframe chart since you would not have this huge gaps between two overlayed time charts of bid and ask data if it is a instrument that has a big difference within the bid/ask spread.

Kate,

are these synthethic symbols going to have there own database witch can be filled with various of datasources?

for example bid and ask from esignal and Trade data from IQ FEED?
And all this data can fill one field of the symbol?
Is this correct?
