Scanning EOD in MC

Postby Kaos » 12 Mar 2007

Does MC scan EOD files for indicator alerts?

If not - is something like TS's Workspace Assistant or Metastock Explorer in development

For example.
I have all my stocks in directories sorted by sectors in metastock format.
c:\data\asx\Cons Disretionary
c:\data\asx\Cons Staples
c:\data\asx\Energy

I would like to create a list based on whatever stocks are in that directory.

I have an indicator when condition = true then it plots 1 to buy and alerts me.

I want to scan selected folders for any stocks that plot = 1 or alert = true

And the results to be displayed in a table format
Scan Date | Directory | Symbol

Something like that would be great....

I don't think you can scan yet but I think long term there is going to be a radar screen. Hope that can come fast.

Stocks based people need scanning and the ability to create and maintain groups.

Also searching symbols based on description would be great as markets such as Hong Kong use number. This is horrible if you are in a hurry.

Yes, that would be cool. I use another charting-programm, first I scan EOD-Data, then I use the found data for an intraday strategy. Unfortunately I receive after 200 Symbols with that program an error from eSignal(I use it as dataprovider - 200 symbol limit) When you think about creating a market scanner, perhaps you can avoid this problem.

The scanner is on our roadmap. We are going to release it this year.
