Why Can't I read exported EL as XML in XML viewer ?

Hello TS Support,

I went to export an EL/PL function in XML and opened it in my XML viewer,
however the code for my function appears to be protected and just
looks like a series of letters even though the code was not protected
in MC, even the password state says=0. So is all the output code from
PL protected in XML or what?

Hi,

PLEditor saves texts in XML format - to prevent confusing characters '>', '<' etc with tag formats.

This format is not meant for reading but for storing data only.
