I am new to multicharts and am still learning many of the basic functions. I would be very grateful if someone could provide me a simple trading system that I could depict and learn from.

There are many built-in systems that you can experiment with..
After plotting a chart, right-click on the chart, select "insert study", then select "signals" ... Signals are the name MC gives to systems...
Pick something like bollinger bands LE (long entry) or SE (short entry) and the arrows will appear on your chart..
