Strategy based on tick data

Postby jankowski marek » 07 Dec 2007

After purchase of MC, I was negatively surprised by MC that MC is able to load only few days of tick data.

My strategy is working based of tick data and I have historical ticks database for the past 5 years.

Is it possible to load all data or load data on "demand" or allow testing strategy against all historical data?

Hi Marek,
look at "Format Symbols" after right click in the chart.

I did look in Format Symbol dialog and my configuration is: 1 tick data from Jan 1, 2007 to Oct 31, 2007. On chart I can see only last 8 days starting from Oct 22, 2007.

Any response from TSSupport?

marek,

are those 5 years already inside MC or do you request them by your provider (if so, who is the data provider?)?
Normally this shouldn't be a problem. I for example regularly chart month of 1 tick charts and it's working like a charm. However there is a limit of 1000000 bars, which can be changed in the registry. What is the bar number of the last bar on your chart?

Best regards,
ABC

I did import ES data from ASCII file. Last bar no. is 1028771. Where in registry I can change max bars number?
