The limit of data saving format

Postby Lauren » 13 Jan 2014

Hi,
I found a limit about the data saving format in MultiCharts.
When the Quotemanager received the data of number bigger than '9999999999',
the data would be saved in a wrong number.

For example
I imported the data '555555555555555'
Image
After importing the data
Image
the number became '1535817984'

Have any solution?
Any assistance would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Hello Lauren,

What is the exact build of your MultiCharts (Help -> About MultiCharts)?

Hi,
in MultiCharts Version 8.5 Release (Build 7020)

This same problem happens in MultiCharts64 Version 8.5 Release (Build 7026) as well.

Thanks.

Lauren,

With latest MC 8.8 version you can import the value from the screenshot and it will be correct.

For example
I imported the data '555555555555555'

On the first screenshot you seem to use daily resolution, while on the last ones it is tick resolution:

For ticks you can't have volume more than 4 000 000 000 (approximately). For days you are limited with a 15 digit number in MC 8.8: XXX XXX XXX XXX XXX.
