Does Multichart allow trades centric ? to take 2 opposate positions in the same strategy (long position and short position at the same time)

Best regards

Yes, if your strategy trades multiple symbols (long A, short B). See spread and pair trading.

No, if you mean trade the same symbol (long A, short A). See this topic.

Thank you Josh

So, since last year, any evolution is foreseen?

On the attachement, an exemple which illustrate my idea : in my strategy, I have many short signals and they are very effective, so I don't want reduce quantity of "short signals" instead "long signals".

Indeed, if I allow long signal in my strategy, I will have less short signal because a long position can be opened et not allow to open short signal at the same time, although the signal short exists.

is it appropriate to code 2 strategies ?
- one for short signals only
- another code for long signals only

If I have two borker accounts (one long positions and another for one short positions), I don't know if Multichart will allow me to execute these two strategies with the same symbol.

In your view, it's not possible with the same symbol?

Have I to buy 2 Multichart licences to do that? (one for short trade, another for long trades)

Yes, you will be able to do this using 2 different broker accounts.

Yes, it is possible.

I cannot forbid you buying more MC lifetime licenses... :-D
But 1 is enough for your goal.
