Hello ACMilan,
You need to run MultiCharts 9.0 beta 3 or higher as it supports the recently updated Gmail protocols. Then you need to configure the email alert settings. Here is how to do that.

Henry
I have already tried all that.
It doesn't work
Gmail is blocking third party access even If I just hit the "TEST" button and I also get an email alert that says that someone is trying to access my email account.

Re: Help with email alerts
Most likely there are security restrictions for accessing your account from external email clients/applications. As Andrew has already replied in the live chat - you need to contact gmail support regarding the issue.
Next time you post a question that is already an ongoing discussion - please provide the complete information.

Re: Help with email alerts
If you're using GMail two-factor authentication, you need to create application specific passwords. See for example here for how to do that.Henry

(I don't know if this solves your problems for sure, but might be worth trying).
Re: Help with email alerts
Hi Josh
Thank you for your reply. I really don't use a two way authentication system for gmail
Al I have is SMTP setups and may password. That simple
I don't understand why this is so difficult. I cannot even send a TEST email from within MC email alert setup without getting an Authentication error message. Have you ever tried?
I also looked on line..maybe I am searching the wrong pages

Re: Help with email alerts
Vince, are you able to fully access your Gmail account from any email client (on the Desktop/Portable device)?

Re: Help with email alerts
Vince,
I have just checked GMail.com using two versions:
MultiCharts64 Version 8.8 Release (Build 9589)
MultiCharts Version 9.0 Beta 3 (Build 9791)
Both versions are working ok GMail.com.
Please PM or email me a screenshot of your email alert settings.

Re: Help with email alerts [SOLVED]
In your Gmail please go to Settings - Accounts and Import - Change account settings: Other Google Account settings. After redirect go to Security and make sure "Access for less secure apps" is enabled.
Re: Help with email alerts
Henry
I made those changes in Gmail and this is what happens
When I click to "test email" the email arrives with no problem immediately
When I let MC send an email alert with a Signal, this happened:
1) One alert was sent but it arrived 4 minutes later
2) Since then all the other signals didn't not triggered any other more email alerts
Is there anything else in the settings that I am supposed to look at?
Thanks
