rithmic login

Postby shanemcdonald » 28 Aug 2014

When setting up rithmic connection . You click " lookup " under trade route dialog box.
Now it has 3 options, Eurex, Globex and Ice. Which one do you choose ?

previously, there was only electronic as an option.

thanks

Trade route depends on the instrument you are going to trade. Please contact your broker directly to get the list of instrument=trade route compliance.

If you need different trade routes for manual trading then you need to create multiple broker profiles each with the required route.

For auto trading you need select the required route for each chart in Format->Strategy properties->Auto trading tab->Select broker plugin->Settings.

I recently just set up Rithmic as well and as Henry says, you need to specify the exchange the symbol is traded on for the route. I trade ZB (cbot) and ES (cme) so I set up two different Rithmic01 broker profiles and named them accordingly. This way I don't have to toggle back and forth depending what I am trading. I use two different work stations which allows using two different broker profiles. Otherwise if you use just one WS, when you change the profile on one signal it will change it on all others. Also learned the hard way through a few hours of work and eventually thanks to Andrew it was solved, make sure the account field is filled in under signal - properties - auto trading - broker profile (edit). PM me if I can be of assistance.

I wonder why all the extra work

can you be logged on all of the different broker profiles at the same time ?

Yes, you can. You need multiple broker profiles for manual trading only.

I do not have to do this with the other programs I use with rithmic.
It seems to be a rithmic- Multicharts issue.

Does support at Multicharts know what trade route to use with Eurex and Rithmic on their trading software ?

This is not an issue - this is Rithmic broker requirement. We do not manage broker accounts. You need to contact your broker directly to get the list of instrument=trade route compliance for your account.
