Hurst FLD....displacement problem

Postby hughesfleming » 04 Oct 2014

Hi,

I am trying to displace a 1 period simple moving average to the right using negative numbers. It works for a few bars with small negative numbers but with a value like -23 I get:-

Error in study.......Trying to access future data. Bar reference value -23:

I can displace an MA with a maximum value of -6. At -7, I get the error.

How do I get around this? Why are simple things so complicated sometimes in Multicharts?

Kind regards,

Alex

MultiCharts can only plot into the available "white" space to the right of the current bar.

If you increase the space, you can plot more bars.

Thanks TJ,

I see how it works now. I am not sure what to think. I will skip this and move on.

Kind regards,

Alex
