Moving database: Is there a tool to do it?

Postby arjfca » 02 Nov 2014

Hello

Did MC or a user created a software tool to facilitate the database displacement.

To do it manually, we should follow these steps
https://www.multicharts.com/trading-sof ... om_C_Drive

This is a long and fastidious task to be done and an automatic tool could be use to do that. I don't have the knowledge to do it, but it should not be a big job to do it.

There are currently 3 wiki entries describing the process, this is the source of confusion. 2) and 3) are identical, just that 3) has a misleading heading. Someone please delete entry number 3) from below list in wiki.

1) https://www.multicharts.com/trading-sof ... 7_Version)

2) https://www.multicharts.com/trading-sof ... or_to_8.7)

3) https://www.multicharts.com/trading-sof ... om_C_Drive

Should be ok now. Added redirections to 2 correct articles:
1. Starting from 8.7 version
2. Versions prior to 8.7
