I login to TTnet data feed every day with SC
It is indeed one of the better data feeds out there.

TTnet is much more than just a hosting solution
I don't want to count every single word, but no TTNet is a managed hosting solution only. It offers important things like connectivity, redundancy and scalability through TT's network, which has to be hosted and structured somewhere and somehow. This hosting & structure is TTNet. Nothing else, nothing more and nothing less.

Don't mix it up ....

My Regards.

Ben

In the internet world, TTNET is the largest Internet service provider in Turkey.

In the trading world, TTNET™ by Trading Technologies is the Gold Standard Trading Platform for professional futures traders. (They own the patent on self-centering DOM.)

They are two unrelated companies, providing two different products, serving two different markets.

Are you going after me TJ ? Of course I was talking about Trading Technologies. I'm using TT's execution platform, called X_TRADER, since 2003 and I'm using TTNet since 2006. You mix it up as well. But the from you so called "Gold Standard Trading Platform for professional futures traders" is the "X_Trader" with various add-on's like MD Trader, Autospreader, X_Study, ADL etc etc.. TTNet is still a hosting solution "only".

I would like to share two links for more information and to make some small but important facts more clear.

Glad to help you .

What broker do you use to connect XTrader ?
Where do you get your data ?
I use AMP futures.
I also connect through TTnet with SC.

Do you know where the data is coming from if TTnet is not a data deed ?

Again, TTNet is much more than a hosting solution. Its a really interesting product if you have many clients at many firms. And as a client, its not up to you whether you get ttnet or not. FCM makes those decisions for you.

What can I say when I see you don't want to read the explanation from the TT website and think about it?

It you think that just a TTNet feed or TTNettrading software can :

- quickly deploy your trading software worldwide using Internet and private lines on it's own
- deliver maximum up time through fast, highly resilient and fully redundant connections
- provide complete datacenter failover as well as intrasite redundancy of market data
- utilize a fully redundant, partial mesh cross-connect architecture
- provide your algorithmic orders exceptionally fast access to the exchanges’ electronic matching engines
- and many more examples

... without any network and hosting solution than the earth is a disk from now on. Please read their explanation. I will not make a comment anymore. Thank you.

Regards.

Ben

EDIT : You may want to carefully listen to what TT's CEO has to say about TTNet in one sentence.

I'm a bit more acquainted with it than just reading a few bullet points on their site...

Thank you for not furthering your 'information' which never seemed to be researched.

Shane, I suggest you call TT tech support. They're very responsive via phone and they'll have your information.

Trading Technologies Phone Support ?
I had not thought of that .

I figured I was not really a direct customer of TT. Due to the connection being through AMP.

Thanks MATricks , I will try that.

shane

I called TT support and they daid I can connect Multicharts to their feed and use it.
But AMP will have to set the fix adapter up to use with MC for me.
I already talked to AMP and they said I have to contact MC about it.
So it looks like AMP is the obstacle for me at this point. TT support said the trade desk at AMP must set it up.

thanks for the info
I will keep bugging AMP and see what happens.

later
