understand DOM reading

Postby hendrix » 16 Dec 2014

Hi all

I'm not comfortable with DOM reading. The instrument is YM.

Anybody could you explain me why on my video, price box (yellow box) doesn't follow buyer or seller orders?

my video >>> http://youtu.be/iUZthQUTCMU

For example, watching this video from the 10th second. This kind of moove is normal? or there is a lag with the DOM?

thanks

It looks abnormal.

1. Who is your data provider?
2. Please specify your CPU and RAM details.
3. What percentage of the CPU and Physical Memory is in use during these times?

hello Matricks

1.CQG (data provider and brokerage)
2.Intel Core i7 4770 / and ram memory 2 x 4Go DDR3
3.I'm just checking now and I don't see variation about CPU memory whereas the problem exists

have you ever seen a similar case?

Did you close that DOM and opened a new one?
Did you open a new workspace and open a new DOM in it. Does it acts the same way?

Could it be that you used the December 2014 contract of the YM instead of the front month March 2015 ?

hendrix, the price in the DOM corresponds with the price on the chart.

Please compare the price in the status line of the chart with the DOM last price and chart last price. If price is the same then there is no issue in MultiCharts.
