Antivirus recomendat

Postby jl12 » 24 Dec 2014

I don't have antivirus installed at the moment and MC seems to be running better using less memory without hitches

In the past I used Security Essentials or Avira are there any antivirus programs that wont impede MC.

"Avast" works great with MC and will not show any noticable resource drain. (it's Free too).

Please avoid using Avast Sandbox for MultiCharts.

For each anti-virus that is recommended to have all MultiCharts processes excluded from realtlime scan / added to white list.

My personal "antivirius" is not doing dumb stuff like clicking on penisenlargement.exe, dont use pirated software and so on. Works like a charm.

ClamAV is a very skinny antivirus app. Originally for Linux, it has been ported to Windows, is open-source, and is free. It's easy to configure and schedule scans, and will scan network shares, as well.

There is also Clam Sentinel by the same folks, which requires ClamAV and will monitor your systems for unexpected changes.

I run both on my servers and workstations.

Good trading!
