set symbol price scale

Postby arnie » 25 Apr 2015

I'm having some difficulties in setting the Schatz price scale.

The schatz quote in halfs, 250, 255, 260, 265... and so forth...
Those are the only prices I want to see on the chart. It makes no sense seeing 251 price when this instrument cannot trade it.
So I'm trying to set the correct price scale in QM so I can only see the correct price scale in which the instrument trades but I've been not successful so far.
For the Bund and the Bobl I had no problem in setting the correct price scale so I can only see the traded prices but for the Schatz I can't.

What am I missing here?

Hello arnie,

You can configure the price scale labels the way you need it under the Scaling tab.

Hi Henry

Although setting the scales "manually" using the symbol properties in MC does the trick regarding the price scale, the manual tools does not respond to it.
So although the price scale can only show the 250, 255, 260 prices, when plotting a standard horizontal line it continues to plot based on the settings in QM, meaning, it plots at 251, 252, 253, 254 and so forth. There's no point in having a line plot at 252 when a symbol only trades at 250 or 255.

Unfortunately the only way to solve this is setting the scale directly in QM and I've not been able so far to do it.

arnie,

There is no such feature at the moment.
