Is delay due to a batch of orders queue recorded in log file

Postby scotthkao » 25 Jul 2015

There shows red text "120 b / 13 s" in the lower right corner, when order is delayed due to a batch of order queue.
But most of the time we do not sit in front of the trading computer so as to see the message going on.
So, is delay due to a batch of orders queue ever recorded in log file so that we can check it later at the end of the trade session?

I had this problem and had to make a registry edit to not send empty log files which was causing a back up in the queue and thus the delay you are referencing. If you want the registry edit procedure, please PM me and I will share.

Dear TS Support,

Could you help with this question?
I want to know in which log file is "a batch of orders queue"-related message placed.

Hello scotthkao,

There is no way to monitor the logs for this issue. You can disable the logging to avoid the issue in MC 9.0 (let me know if you need instructions for that) or update to MultiCharts 9.1 Beta 1 to have the issue resolved.

Please give me the instructions to disable logging.
BTW, is there any side affects with registry key set to disable logging.

Please unzip the attached file, run the file corresponding to your version of MultiCharts (32 or 64 bit).
The changes will be applied after restarting all MultiCharts processes.
The only side effect is that we won't be able to study any order related issues in case they arise.

Thanks for your zip file!

Do I have to remove the newly-added registry key when I someday upgrade my MC to MC9.1 Beta or even higher version?

You can change it to True after updating to MultiCharts 9.1 if you want the trading logs to be written.
