[v9.1] Disconnects and inability to connect

Postby MAtricks » 06 Nov 2015

Since upgrading to 9.1, my Rithmic data feed and Broker has not connected. My CQG data works... some times and disconnects once a day and doesn't reconnected until I restart MC. The broker connection replicates the same behavior. I'm fairly experienced with the platform and know the common tricks, but nothing seems to work here. All 3 were perfect before the 9.1 installation. This was a fresh installation--complete uninstall of 9.0.

Anyone else having these issues?

TS data works as it always has

Hello MAtricks,

It looks like a known issue we are currently working at. At the moment the fix is targeted to MultiCharts 9.1 Release 2.
There is no ETA for the version yet. Please follow our blog to get the latest updates:

Hi MAtricks.

I have the same problem with TS 9.1 data.

I guess I need to renew my IQFeed data. IB data sucks...

Hey 4trading,

TS data is working "well" for me... What are you seeing on your end? I'm running 9.5 so maybe that's it?

Hi MAtricks:
How's it going? :) Thanks for letting me know. I'll give 9.5 a try.

"Establishing connection" is what I am seeing. But I am rusty with MC and just tried TS 9.1.
It has worked in the past. IQFeed works fine for me.
I have MultiCharts64 Version 9.1 Release (Build 11815).

I will spend some time on it this afternoon.

The first issue I'd blame is the TS login prompt. Its buggy, slow, and disappears sometimes. Make sure you're logged in.

2nd, make sure both are run as admin:

I have it up and running correctly now. Thanks for that helpful tip with pictures.

My problem was partly from the MC advice line below.

"To connect MultiCharts to TS data feed, it is necessary to have their software installed and launched on the computer."

So I had TS running before launching MC and that was the problem.

You are correct that those pesky Admin Rights are often the problem. So I did set the Rights default to avoid right-clicking every time. Have a good one. :)
