CQG Demo with AMP - Unable to get data

I am trying the AMP demo (using the full version of MC version 9.1.12010.400 64 bit) and I am able to add contracts (symbol lookup works) but not able to get data.

When I try connecting to data with the CQG connection set to sim I get:

Establishing connection to CQG: Datafeed version= 1.0.12010.400
Lost Connection to Data Network

When I try with "Live" I get invalid username or password (which I expect since it's a sim account).

The checkbox for external historical data doesn't seem to impact this one way or the other, although when checked I get an additional error saying "REMOTING APPLICATION CLOSED".

Any thoughts how to get this working? I'm trying to get intraday data for CBOT Wheat ZWAH16.

Please make sure the account is live; some brokers' sim accounts do not work on weekends.

Account was set up about a week ago. Had the same error during the week but finally got back to try again. Wondering if there's something else I need to do configuration-wise to get it working.

Highest version I get CQG trial with AMP working is MultiCharts64 9.0 Release (Build 11210). After that it does not work for me here.

Hello DaveAronow,

You can get both demo and live CQG accounts working ok in MultiCharts 9.1.
Please contact your broker and ask them to enable your account for CQG WEB API (MultiCharts 9.1 full version with EasyLanguage).

As for the issue you are having with the data access - most likely it is related to CQG historical data server issue. Please refer to the following thread for more details.

I applied the registry patch but still the same error.

"Error message: REMOTING APPLICATION CLOSED" means your account is not enabled for CQG WEB API (MultiCharts 9.1 full version with EasyLanguage). Please contact your broker for assistance.
