Multicharts RAM Usage

Postby no erocla » 25 Feb 2016

Multicharts consumes a lot of RAM during simulation and during live trading because of data downloading (this occurs mostly using data2/data3 data).

To avoid this, for live trading one way would be storing Data into HD instead of RAM, downloading only a little portion of real time data into the RAM.

For simulation can be enough just downloading and merging the portion of missing data during every simulation.

There's any way to do it ?

Which MultiCharts you are using? 32 bits?

How much RAM do you have?

How much history do you load on your chart?

How many total datastreams?

Anyway RAM consumption is too much and can be fixed.

Are you referring to 50/60 symbols? or 50/60 data streams?
if each symbol has 3 data series, that's 180 datastreams of 1 minute data.
