Can't we have candles of 2 days ?

Postby Automeq » 14 Apr 2016

I tried to create Candles of 2 days instead of 1 day and it seems that MC screws it somewhere. Enclosed you can see as we have one candle ending on 15/4, on 13/4, on 11/4 but then on 8/4 and 7/4 (the one of 8/4 should not exist).
Same happens for example on 10/3 and 11/3.

Is this something that is not possible to do in MC or is some sort of bug ?

Hello Automeq,

That is expected behavior. The bar that should be closed on Saturday is closed with on Friday as Saturday is outside of the symbol's sessions.

OK, I understood. I thought it would pick 2 trading days and not 2 calendar days.

So, I guess that to have OHLC of 2 trading days I have to program it, right ?

Automeq, if current behavior does not suit your needs then you need to perform the required calculations in your own code.
