Problems collecting / stored Data  [SOLVED]

Postby andriuking » 13 Aug 2016

Hello.

I publish this post because recently I have begin to work with multicharts employing as data sources Interactive Brokers (IB) and TS (TS).

I´d like to have my Multicharts workspaces saved with historical data and update it when new data when I open him.

I was reading about how Multicharts collect data and store it:

http://www.multicharts.com/trading-soft ... s_Database

http://www.multicharts.com/trading-soft ... Collection

And it says than, after configuring quotemanager, data is stored in database when sesion is shutdown.

However, each time than I open my workspace it tries to load the historical data again (not new data) from IB. Whit IB pacing violations is very tedious load each historical data...

I think than I have correctly configured settings in Quotemanager (I attach screenshots), and I have checked than new quotes are received, so I dont know how avoid to load the data again every time than I open the workspace.

Could anybody helps me?

Thanks in advance.

Andrés.

How powerful is your machine? My first go with MC a few moons ago, I was running fusion on a Mac and it would take insanely long to load historical data. Fast forward to now, and with a dedicated and powerful PC it's insanely fast. Only caveat is during market hours that the instrument trades it does slow down a bit.

I think is enougth powefull:

Intel Core i7 4790K CPU 4GHz
RAM 16 GB
64Bits Windows 10
SSD Hard Disk 1GB

What do you think?

I tried the solution proposed for TJ and works well, now data is stored and charged fastly.
