Hi tradingest,

You need to check with IB if you have the required data subscription for your account.
If you use Trade QuoteField then you need to have access to MidPoint values.

Hi Henry,

I have the subscription data for the instruments because I see in TWS platform the charts. I can't see the charts into quote manager. Doesn't load the data for these instruments. Why?

tradingest,

QuoteManager does not plot any charts, it collects realtime data only.
Your data subscription for TWS can be different from your data subscription for 3rd party apps.
Please plot a chart for Ask or Bid quote field and check the messages in the QuoteManager's Event Log.
It will tell you if you have the required data subscription or not.

Please plot a chart for Ask or Bid quote field
Henry thank for the support.
What is the difference between quote field bid or ask and trade?

Hi siscop,

right now I see the chart but my field quote is Bid and not trade. It's correct?
Kindly tell me which hours session you have set for XAUUSD?

Thanks

From IB you get 100 ticker – I call it ticker but it probably has a different name. It means that you only have 100 simultaneous connections to IB.
To check how many you have used you have to open the Trader Workstation Diagnostics TWD - just click Ctr-Alt-C on TWS or Gateway.
On my screen you see that I use 58 and underneath you see what data I am connected to. In my case the Portfolio Trader is trading stocks and you see there which one.

I left the session on default but are you sure that you have the market data subscription from IB? To be honest I don’t know which IB market data it is and I don't know why I have that subscription since I can't find any on the IB data subscription site. So I can't help you on the market data point
I get data on bid, ask and trade on my charts.

What about XAGUSD do you also have problem with this pair?

tradingest,
what does the QM Event Log say when you open a chart with "trade" instead of "bid"?
What about "ask"? Only bid is odd...

If I plot the Bid or plot the ask value the chart is ok but if I plot the trade value I don't see the charts.
Is More strange but is so.

I have resolved using the e-micro gold MCG
