*.ela, *.eld, *.pla - what's the difference?

Postby Tresor » 26 Jun 2008

Hello,

Could anyone please elaborate a bit on a system of classification of extentions allowed for MC?

I already know that *.sef are locked files.

What is the difference between pla, eld, ela, other extentions? Which of these are for functions, which for indictors, which for show-mes, which for signals, etc.

Regards.

Hi Tresor,

.ela and .els are old TS2000i formats. .els can be both protected and unprotected. eld is the TS8 format. .pla and .xml are MultiCharts formats.
For you, as a user, there isn't much difference which format the file is in. They are not reserved for specific types of studies.

Regards.

I have one more question,

If I send a *pla file to someone who uses TS, will this person be able to open the *pla file and use it in TS?

Regards

No. .pla files aren't recognized in TS.
