Symbol change

Postby bowlesj3 » 10 Feb 2021

Hi, one of the stock symbols I am tracking in the MC64 scanner has had its symbol changed from WFT to WFG by the exchange. There does not seem to be a rename option in the quote manager. What would be the simplest way to deal with this?

Might it be the following or is there a better wayu
0/ backup the database as always
1/ create the new symbol.
2/ Export ASCII on the old symbol <<<<<<<<<<<<<<
3/ Import ASCII into the new symbol <<<<<<<<<<<<<<
4/ Test the new symbol for a few days.
5/ Delete the old symbol when the new symbol seems okay.
6/ Compress the database (not sure how to do this)

I am experimenting with this. My first attempt at the export dialog box is attached.

Thanks,
John

Hello bowlesj3,

You can rename the symbol in QuoteManager.

Please try the following:
Right-click the required symbol -> select Edit Symbol... ->in the Common Information section enter the required Symbol Name.
