Custom future contract, expect a notification when roll?

Postby Salzburg » 01 Jul 2021

Hi,

I find that my custom futures does not warn/indicate when its time to close down and reload the chart, in order to get correct charts.

As it is now, i have experienced live strategy that did not close my position end of day, due to chart not rolled properly.

But this is not the main question, main issue is that Multicharts does not warn me or notify me when it rolls.

It had done this before though.

Question to MC team, what shall my expecation be for custom futures and rolls ?

Hello Salzburg,

MultiCharts has the function to display the alert when the rollover has already happened.

(4.3 KiB) Not downloaded yet
The message is shown after the session end (the session end is determined by the session settings selected in the chart).

Hi Svetlana, Yes, that would be amazing, but as described in my initial post, which is the main reason for the post, this little alert does not show up.
Any ideas as of why, it does not show ? is this a setting somehow ?

Thanks

Did you make any changes in the registry? Please contact us through our support email for the information about the specific registry key that you need to check.

No I did not make any changes in the registry, and it has worked before.
Why not share the information in this specific thread? might help other users also.

Only change i have in registry is "last bar update" but this was done several years ago.

Hi Salzburg,

We don't share the registry keys publically, since changing them without special knowledge can lead to unexpected results, and the support team will not be able to trace this change and roll it back on user's PC. That is why we provide this info through other support channels, but not on the forum.

You can contact us by email or in Live Chat to receive this info. For different cases the solution might be different.
