Trading Forex Spot - Alternative to Interactive Brokers

Postby pfp » 31 Aug 2021

Dear All,
Before BREXIT, I did trade Forex Spot market via Interactive-Brokers. But since this BREXIT, as a European citizenship, I am no longer allowed to trade Forex Spot via Interactive-Brokers (IB) on a leveraged base. This is - at least - what I get told by IB.

Does anyone know, if there is a chance to trade Forex Spot via IB again or maybe a similar broker, which can be traded via MultiCharts with similar conditions for spread, commission, interest and so on?

Thanks for your input in advance,

BR Peter

Hello pfp,

Forex instruments are provided by Barchart, CQG (infrastructure), Dukascopy, LMAX, OANDA and Saxo Group, for example.
You can check our full chart of data feeds and supported security types.

bomberone1,

FXCM is supported as a broker profile.
To connect it, in MultiCharts go File -> Broker Profiles -> Manage Broker Profiles.
If you don’t see FXCM in the list, go New -> FXCM.

Just to be clear does that mean MC can no longer use FXCM for data?

Thanks.

Hello Nick,

FXCM is not a supported data provider in MultiCharts.
Please find the full list of supported data feeds here.
Find security types supported by each provider here.
And connection guides here.

Thanks for confirming Kate. I seem to remember they where in the past. In any case not relevant now.

Hi pfp,

you are lucky. I had the same question and found the solution: you can simply trade FOREX CFD at Interactive Brokers. Except for the declaration (CFD) everything is the same - high liquidity, tight spreads etc. I checked the prices and found them to be identical. Happy trading :-)

Kind regards,
TraderJ
